About a year ago we got to explore the abandoned 6 Flags amusement park in New Orleans. Originally Jazzland, the amusement park got bought up by 6 Flags about 5 years before Hurricane Katrina. After Katrina, the park got flooded and many rides got destroyed, while some salvageable rides were taken apart and used at other parks in the country. The remaining rides lay abandoned and rotting, a perfect scene for some exploring.
