5050 Skatepark helps with making Face Shields for First Responders and Nurses
As we have all heard on the news, our first responders are short on essential supplies. So when we heard our friend Michael Perina of Assembly 3D Printing created a gofundme to use his skills of 3D printing to create face shields for our frontline workers, we jumped at the opportunity to help.
We have a CNC Machine and Laser Cutter that we normally use to cut out wood ramps, but now we repurposed them to cut Pet-G for the face shields. The skatepark has been transformed into an assemble and packaging factory with the help of Youth Build Staten Island. Check out photos below.
Share and donate if you can. The more we can raise, the more face shields we can make.
Everyday we are producing 300 shields with plans to increase to 1,000 per day!
We still need help getting more materials! A big thank you to everyone that has supported this campaign already.
Every dollar donated will go towards making as many shields as possible!
