Musication 4 Recap Video
We did it again! The 4th Annual Musication music and arts festival was huge success! 40+ artists from all over New York City donated some amazing video game themed art to go with the video game tournaments. We had 20+ contestants in our video game tournaments, the winner all received cash prizes and gift packs from our sponsors. Performances from some amazing young artists filled the stage for the night. Over 200 people attended, and together helped raise over $2,000 for the Lark Fund. The Lark Fund provides mini grant for music and art supplies to public schools on Staten Island. If you missed the evening, take a look here at the recap video put together by Projectivity and consider contributing to the fund by selecting the Donate button at ProjectivityGroup.org and listing Lark Fund in the notes. Thank you for your support and thank you to all our sponsors 5050 Skatepark, Soul Purpose Designs, Cornerstone Realty, MetroPlus Health Plan, A1 Funky Fun Mobile DJ, All-boro Handyman, Milk and Honey Tattoo, and Richmond Hood Co. See you next year!!! #PROJECTYOURSELF
Rebel Rebel Records Closes
Within the past 6 months, 3 West Village record stores have closed (Rebel Rebel, Bleecker St. Records and Other Music). The West Village was the rock n roll hub back in the day and as someone who basically grew up in my Dad’s record store on Cornelia street, the news of these closings is heartbreaking to say the least. Gentrification is stripping neighborhood identities and leaving the city generic and basic.#saveyourhood Took this flick a month before Rebel closed
