Bay Street Corridor Meeting at 5050 Skatepark Thursday 7 Pm
/in Events, News /by Angelica PopolanoThe purpose of the Public Workshops will be to more closely examine some of the key issues we have already heard through your input, and provide a mixture of interactive and educational activities designed to dive deeper into these issues.
The attached flyer provides additional information on the event, and we encourage you to forward this email to anyone who may be interested to provide input on the future of the Bay Street Corridor and the surrounding areas. Light refreshments, kindly prepared by Bay Sweet Café, will be available both days. Please note that these two workshops will be repetitive and each offer the same exercises and opportunities for discussions with planners and other city agencies.
Is Google Plus Dead?
/in Art, BMX, Drifting, Fixed Gear, Flatland, Inline Skating, Music, News, Scooter, Skate /by jasperIs Google Plus Dead?
I am not sure but people look at Our Google Plus Skatepark page. We have only been open for a little over 3 years and seem to have over 472,000 views on its page. That number does not mean we have had 472,000 people at #5050skatepark. We can only Dream. It seems like G+ just can’t get its people to interact with its very easy interface. We have been trying to post when we can on it.
Maybe give it a try and follow our page too!
MULLALY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
/in BMX, Events, News /by jasperSupport NYC’s longest running ramp park
We need your help to keep the park running and create a positive environment for the youth in the community.
Mullaly Park has been a home to BMX riders, skateboarders, rollerblades and more for almost thirty years now. We are implementing a pilot youth program in conjunction with The Bronx Museum’s Boogie on the Boulevard programing. We will have STRIDER Balance bikes and NUTCASE helmets available for youths ages 2-5 to try on our Strider Adventure Zone course. We hope to be able to make this a regular offering at the park.
We have been lucky enough to receive grant funding from Citizen’s Committee for New York City for a number of years, and are searching for other funding as well.
If you could please make a donation to help the park grow, you will be helping to provide a safe place for the youth to express themselves and be active. Every dollar counts.
Please visit our go fund me page to make a donation.
With thanks,
-The riders of Mullaly
