Every year on June 21st skaters take to their boards, hitting streets and skateparks all over the world. For Go Skateboarding Day this year, Adidas wanted to do something special for the skaters in New York. The idea was to have a full day skating event, starting at the famous LES skatepark and ending on a rooftop in Manhattan where there would be custom built skating elements. As well as building every piece on the rooftop, NYDAC also built a hubba ledge to go down the entrance stairs of LES as well as another ledge that sat on top of an existing ramp. The entire day was incredible, with skaters going full force at every chance they could and simply enjoying the sport they all share a love for.

We took the LIFE EV electric BMX style bike to 5050 Skate Park in Staten Island and had pro riders put it through the test. Austin Augie, Spencer Lonergan, Ted Shred, Dom Simonsini, Alex Whistance AKA Big Boy @official_bigboy, Cameron Robbins, Anthony Panza, Ricky Hoffman and Jon Lynn were all on hand. These are NYC’s BMX pros and influencers and this was their first experience on an electric bmx bike. For some, this was their first electric bike ride.
Cameron Robbins, Charlie Quigley and Lucas Rusinak leave New York and hit up Louisville Extreme Park and the Louisville Mega Cavern dirt jumps both of which are really sick places to ride.
This looks like its going to be epic.
